Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery

Thursday October 30, 2008

When Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend (at 2 a.m. on Sunday, to be precise), we need to remember to move our clocks back an hour.

Along with the time change, it's also smart to take a moment to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. This is the advice that the International Association of Fire Chiefs ("IAFC") and Energizer have been giving for 21 years as part of their "Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery" campaign.

This small step requires very little money and effort, and it may one day save your life.

Thanks for the comment! Fortunately, so many lives have been saved thanks to people remembering to change their alarm batteries.
