Survey Asks Whom Low-Income Renters Want in the White House
ApartmentSmart.com, which specializes in online listings for affordable rentals, conducted an online survey of low-income renters, asking which candidate they favor in Tuesday's presidential election. The results reveal that 72% of potential voters plan to cast their ballot for Senator Barack Obama, with 18% backing Senator John McCain.
The survey, which was conducted during the month of October, drew responses from over 360 low-income renters. According to ApartmentSmart.com, the results are important because low- and middle-income groups have recently been the targets of voter registration drives and get-out-the-vote campaigns.
