What Happened in Wichita?

A Wichita, Kansas apartment complex recently got hit with a double dose of unusual occurrences in just one night. First, the local ABC affiliate reported that a tenant trying to stay warm decided to use his oven as a space heater. At around 9 p.m. on November 10, the tenant went out to do an errand while leaving the oven unattended, which led to a small fire that damaged his apartment.

Just a couple of hours after the oven fire incident, a possibly drunk driver steered his car into the apartment directly below, sending a tenant to the hospital in serious condition. Fortunately, a quick-thinking neighbor turned off the car's engine as the tires spun out.

The two incidents were reportedly unrelated!
