Better Late Than Never

When there's a problem in a neighbor's apartment, you hope it will be discovered and fixed before it can spread to your apartment and possibly cause damage.

Tenants who rented the ground-floor apartment at a three-family house in Milford, Massachusetts weren't so lucky. On New Year's Day, a burst water pipe on the third floor started to cause damage to their apartment, making it temporarily uninhabitable.

The third-floor neighbors couldn't report the leak because they were away, and the second floor apartment happened to be vacant, according to The Milford Daily News.

Fortunately, the ground-floor tenants were able to report the leak promptly, and the landlord was able to relocate them to another apartment temporarily.

P.S. Ironically, the house is reportedly located on "Water Street."
