Bats, Bugs... What's Next?

What has been going on recently at a Melbourne, Florida apartment complex is eerily reminiscent of the biblical plagues of Exodus (and just in time for Passover).
First, there was unbelievable bat infestation -- not just one or two bats, but thousands, filling up the evening sky, according to the local NBC affiliate.
Once the bat problem appeared to have cleared up, tenants quickly discovered an immense swarm of roaches littering the floors of their apartments.
Have you ever lived in an apartment building that had a serious pest infestation? What did you do about it? Was your landlord responsive?
