
It's always nice to help your neighbors, but swapping electric bills with a neighbor who owes much more than you do goes a bit too far.
That's exactly what a tenant renting a condo in Orlando, Florida was inadvertently doing for over two years. A meter mix-up led to the tenant getting mistakenly charged for the higher electricity consumption of another condo in the building that was nearly twice the size, according to WFTV Orlando.
After reviewing the records, the utility company confirmed the overbilling error and will reportedly credit the tenant $819.
