A tenant in Fargo, North Dakota claimed not to care about keeping his apartment door locked at night. But he did want to be awakened if someone entered his apartment without his permission.
His unusual solution, according to a report from KFGO, was to stack empty beer cans on a stepstool by the door.
Very early this morning, the tenant's security contraption was put to the test when an inebriated neighbor allegedly entered the apartment, possibly by mistake. Sure enough, the sound of the rattling cans roused the tenant, who fought the intruder until the police arrived to take him into custody.
