A couple of months ago, I blogged about Apartments.com's second annual Roommate of the Year contest. If you or your roommate submitted a short video showing why you think you're a cut above the rest, you should know by now whether you earned a spot as a category finalist. If you are, good luck in winning the grand prize!
Not a finalist? Didn't enter the contest? You can still participate by casting your vote for America's best apartment roommate. You may vote once a day each day through poll closing on July 30.
One lucky renter will win the grand prize of $20,000 -- $10,000 cash plus a year's rent (of $10,000). Four additional finalists will take home runner-up prizes of $500 each.
In your opinion, what type of person makes the best roommate?

Cast my vote! Now I’d have to say that a good roommate is one that cleans up after themselves, isn’t passive aggressive but tells you when somethings bugging them.
A great roommate is this economy is one who reliably pays the rent because if she doesn’t, your lease probably says you are responsible for the entire payment!
