We take it for granted that after we're done using a bathroom, we just open the door and leave. But sometimes lock mechanisms get stuck or break, creating a frustrating situation.
That's what happened today to a tenant at an apartment building in Wels, Austria, who remained trapped in his bathroom for over an hour due to a faulty lock. After calling for help, local firefighters arrived to break down the door, according to the Austrian Independent, but the tenant's son was able to free his father with a spare key.
The report notes that the tenant locked the bathroom door even though he was alone. If you've gotten into the habit of doing this, you might think twice after reading this story.
