You might not be surprised to learn that last month was the warmest June on record across the planet, according to a new report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). July has continued the trend, already bringing several days of high temperatures and humidity to much of the country.

Hopefully, you're able to enjoy your apartment when it's very hot outside. But if you're having trouble staying cool, here are some tips to help you get comfortable -- and keep your electricity bills down.
