Many high-rise apartment buildings offer a parking garage for residents as an amenity. But if you're the type who must have your own private attached garage, you would probably want to look at single-family houses instead.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban will get the best of both worlds. For $10 million, reports the New York Post, the couple just purchased a penthouse apartment in a 16-story luxury condo building that's the first in New York City to offer "sky garages" -- along with a large, dedicated car elevator.
According to the building's Web site, 14 apartments come with their own secure garage boasting over 300 square feet of additional space. You can visit the site to view artist renderings, virtual tours, floor plans, and more, including an animation of how to get a car from the streets of Manhattan to an apartment several hundred feet above and back.
