
If you visit one Jacksonville Beach, Florida senior community, you may spot something out of the ordinary: residents pushing strollers while dogs -- not children -- enjoy the ride.
According to a report yesterday from the local ABC affiliate, there's a practical, safety-related reason behind this seemingly unusual behavior. Some dogs' long leashes have posed a safety risk for residents with disabilities, which reportedly prompted management to suggest using strollers.
Both the residents and their dogs appear to love the idea.

Except the whole reason to take a pet outside of the apartment is: 5% doin’ his/her business, 95% much-needed exercise, play, and socialization for the animal. If owners want to walk them around in a buggy AFTER the 5% business, 95% much-needed exercise, play, and socialization that’s fine, but don’t couch in the guise of safety. Because if you can’t control your pet, then you really shouldn’t have one.
