If you're looking to rent an apartment, you might think it's tough to get a good deal in this difficult economy. But there are six states, according to Investopedia, in which higher vacancy rates and lower average monthly rents have created a renter's market, offering you better value and flexibility.

Florida offers the best deals to renters, especially those looking in the Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa areas. Rounding out the list of "The 6 Best States for Renters" are Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Georgia, and North Carolina.
