Many people try using Craigslist to find the right apartment or a compatible roommate, but not everyone succeeds. If you were lucky enough to find what you were looking for on this popular listings site, Craigslist wants to hear about it.
Visit the success stories submission page (also reachable via a link at the top of category listings pages) and let Craigslist know:
- Your e-mail address. Craigslist staff need a way to contact you if they have questions about your submission.
- Your success story. Tell the folks at Craigslist how their site helped you get what you wanted. Remember not to reveal any personal details that you or others would expect to keep private. Also, Craigslist suggests pointing out anything unusual about the experience. For instance, perhaps once you met the landlord behind an apartment listing, you discovered she was your babysitter years ago.
- Your authorizations. Check the first box if you wish to give Craigslist your consent to reprint your story on its site or the Craigslist blog. Check the second box if you're happy to let Craigslist share your story with the media.
When you've finished writing your story, read over your entry to make sure it's complete and to check for mistakes. It's also a good idea to copy and paste the text of your story into a file on your computer, so that you keep a copy of what you wrote.
Click "Submit Story" and you're done!
