Natural Living

In addition to showing one how to decorate a home, Gillingham-Ryan also gives tips for keeping the home clean, healthy, and natural. He imparts his wisdom on cleaning methodologies, environmentally friendly product recommendations, and the importance of fresh flowers in the home.

Who can benefit from this book

While the author's Apartment Therapy practice is based in New York City, those living in suburban or rural areas need not be turned off by the focus on urban living. The principles apply to everyone.

New Yorkers, and other urbanites, will certainly learn a lot from this book. As a New Yorker myself, I found this book to address issues that many New Yorkers face: how to find respite from a chaotic urban city, de-stress your lifestyle, and do so in a small living space.

Any dweller, though, will see the practicality of his advice in learning to live more naturally, simply, and to put value into building up your living space. I highly recommend this book, because it will open your mind up to a new way of looking at your home.
