Can I suggest to a landlord that I get a guarantor?

By Ron Leshnower, About.com

Question: Can I suggest to a landlord that I get a guarantor?
Answer: Yes. If you found your dream apartment but the landlord is hesitant to rent it to you because he believes your income or credit score is too low, it never hurts at that point to ask the landlord if he would accept a guarantor.
