Can I rent on a month-to-month basis?

By , About.com Guide

Question: Can I rent on a month-to-month basis?
Answer: When you first sign the lease for an apartment at a tax credit property, it must be for a term of at least six months (although there are a couple of exceptions). After that, you and your landlord can agree to renew your lease on a month-to-month basis.
